The government is going after a high school band for covering Bob Dylan’s Masters of War. Hey remember that Osama guy? Maybe we should worry about him instead of this okay? I mean seriously who cares about genocide in Sudan when a bunch of 15 year olds are covering Dylan songs dude.

The Education Department this summer destroyed more than 300,000 copies of a booklet designed for parents to help their children learn history after the office of Vice President Dick Cheney’s wife complained that it mentioned the National Standards for History, which she has long opposed.
So they just destroyed them!?! All those wasted resources because the VP’s wife doesn’t like it? Great.

Factcheck dot org (dot org, not com, Mr Cheney) has a great article up about the lies and misleading statements both candidates made during the first debate. Isn’t it great to pick between two liars?
Big congrats to all of those who were able to disrupt GOP events this week. I have never felt so distanced from either party than I am right now. Everyone in Washington, right and left, need a big wakeup call.
